Father's Day

Bittersweet doesn't exactly describe this Father's Day.
Aaron is going to be already such an amazing Father. (Remember this shopping trip?)

But he celebrates his first Father's Day without his Father. It's just so...

...I guess bittersweet is the only word I can think of.

Oh, my sweet Aaron. I love you so much. Tiny Dancer loves you so much. We are so proud of you for the man that you are and the Daddy that you're becoming.

Today will be so hard, so sorry he has to go thru but am thankful he has you and TD to hold him and help remind him of the love that is still all around. I think he will be a great father because of the impact his father had on his life. Hugs and prayers to both of you today and always.

This has got to be hard....looking forward to the next Father's Day when I hope he'll have a better one!

Father's Day is pretty tough. You want to celebrate it with your own dad. I've known that feeling for 15 years. I hope your hubs keeps his faith and lets himself grieve. It's so, so, so important (I'm still learning how to grieve for my own dad). When the baby arrives, he will need his strength to be there for you and her. The focus will change and next Father's Day, he will be the smiley, proud papa. Sure, there will be an ache in his heart but baby girl will help immensely to fill that void. :)
I hope you guys can find some peace and can smile at the happy memories of your FIL. I know it's easier said that done. In time, you'll heal. Just take it a day at a time.
